A young striker grows on goals. Scoring lifts his match ratings, good ratings lift his potential, and a forward who finds the net regularly can outgrow the number next to his name. It works in reverse too: a striker who spends two seasons on your bench rarely reaches the ceiling he started with.

Finishing and positioning matter more than anything else, then pace. A tall target man and a quick runner can share the same overall and need completely different service, so pick the type that suits your formation.

The easiest way to keep a young striker scoring is to choose his opponents: start him against weaker sides and in the cups, bring him on late when you are ahead, and loan him to a team that will play him up front every week if your first choice is still years ahead of him.

This list holds 30 players, all of them with potential 80 or more, and their average age is 19.9. Endrick (Real Madrid) has the highest ceiling at 91. Francesco Camarda has the most room to grow: 66 now, 87 potential.
