FC 27 hidden gems for career mode

A hidden gem is the signing that looks like a squad player on the day you buy him and like a first-team regular two seasons later. The game prices players mostly on what they are now, not on what they will become, so a 68-rated teenager with 85 potential can cost less than a 75-rated veteran who has already peaked.

Every player here has a ceiling of 78 or more, is rated 76 or under, has six or more points still to grow, and is worth little for that ceiling: about €2M at potential 78, a fifth more for each point above. Most of them play outside the big five leagues, where the clubs sell for less.

Buy them early, before a breakout season sends the price up, and give them minutes: cup games, the bench and a loan to a club that will start them do more for their growth than a season in your reserves.
