Career Mode Report #1 · 7 November 2026

What 2,700+ FC 26 career mode saves did

Who managers really signed, which clubs they took over, and who the game crowns when it simulates the Champions League. Counted from 2,759 FC 26 saves tracked on careermode.xyz, plus FC 27 where the sample is big enough.

The most-signed players in FC 26

The most-signed player in FC 26 career mode was not a superstar. It was Gilberto Mora, Tijuana’s 17-year-old, signed in 42 saves by 31 different managers: more than twice as many as anyone else. In 40 of those saves he cost nothing.

What we left out

Some stories we wanted didn’t have the numbers yet. Here is what we checked and why it isn’t above.

  • FC 27’s most-signed player: the leader is in only 6 of the 172 FC 27 saves that logged a signing. We’ll publish it when the sample allows.
  • Real Madrid saves selling Vinícius in FC 27: only 6 of the 21 Madrid saves logged any transfer, so “1 sold him” tells us nothing.
  • Real Madrid–Barcelona deals: 7 direct transfers in 257 FC 26 saves of either club (2.7 per 100) against 2 in 51 FC 27 saves (3.9 per 100). Too few to tell apart.
  • How fast FC 27 saves move: the typical save is still in season 1 however old it is, so there is nothing to chart yet.

How this was counted

  • A save is a career tracked on careermode.xyz. A signing is a permanent transfer into the club logged in the save: loans and the squad’s history before the save don’t count. Rankings count distinct saves, so a player signed twice in one save counts once, and each row also shows how many different managers those saves belong to. 2,759 FC 26 saves by 2,248 managers, 878 of them with transfers (14,943 in all); 622 FC 27 saves.
  • Players are matched to EA’s FC 26 player database, so “G. Mora”, “Gilberto Mora” and “gilberto mora” are one player; nationality and age must fit. A player we can’t match safely is counted under his typed name and nationality.
  • Demo saves and our own test account are left out of everything, and women’s leagues out of the competition counts.
  • Saves created and moves logged up to 7 November 2026. FC 26 saves on the site date from July 2026; FC 27 saves from its release in late September.
  • A ranking is published only if its leader is in at least 10 saves, and only rows with at least 5 are listed. No figure identifies a person or a save.
  • Saves report the champions of competitions their own club didn’t win, so a user’s own titles are never counted as the game’s pick. That slightly undercounts the clubs people manage most, such as Barcelona and Real Madrid.
  • Fees are compared only between saves kept in euros, since a save can use pounds or dollars. A fee of 0 is a free transfer.
  • These saves come from people who use a tracker, not a random sample of everyone who plays. Most are in Spain’s and England’s leagues, and few in Mexico’s or Brazil’s (6 and 12 FC 26 saves). Most saves are tracked through their first season only: 316 of 2,494 FC 26 manager saves reached season 2, so later seasons weigh less.
